Objective
Required the creation of a black and white creature mark and arranging it into a colored composition based on the Fibonacci proportions along with the integration of typography.

Research
For this task several photos of the Secretary Bird were collected. Using the photos key tangible and intangible characteristics were examined and a list was made for both.

Sketching
Primary focus of sketches was simplifying the overall shape of the bird in order to emphasize the key characteristics of the Secretary Bird for the final mark.
Digital Iterations
Ideas were translated into a digital format. Iterations primarily focused on having a limited amount of shapes to keep the overall form language consistent in order to have a cohesive design.
Composition Experimentation
Focus was on planning out compositions that would not only highlight the mark but create a strong and cohesive image. Experimenting with type and color were also taken into consideration.
