Objective
Goal was to create a series of posters with a typographic concept that each poster shared yet still be distinct from one another in order to draw the viewer in.
Research
Before making any sketches, research had to be conducted first. Each poet had at least one literary work regarding the dangers of technology whether it came to war, impact of social media, or AI.
Sketching
Started with sketching to get an idea of compositions before working on digital iterations.
Ideations
Many ideations were made using cutouts of type in several arrangements. Then type was photographed and edited using different filters and distortions.
Iterations
Relied heavily on tech to visualize certain concepts however to make the design more unique and less digitized, distortion was applied to printed out pages of type moved across a scanner.
Color
Since the overall topic was a warning against technology, inspiration from general warning signs was used. Bright colors and bold text were used to match the subject matter and overall themes.
